Colorado State of Mind Race in Colorado: Infant Mortality episode

rmpbs video

As a result of the CPHP African American Infant Mortality Summit (June 2015) Rocky Mountain PBS has launched episodes and a documentary to generate awareness of Colorado’s infant mortality issues.  Cerise Hunt was a panelist in the Colorado State of Mind Race in Colorado: Infant Mortality episode. The Rocky Mountain PBS News investigation reveals glaring disparities in infant deaths by race; why the US lags behind other Western nations in infant mortality; why babies born to Colorado minority families, blacks in particular, have a greater chance of dying before their first birthdays than whites. (Discussion with Dr. Larry Wolk, Cerise Hunt, Michelle Neal.) (Links to an external site.)
