Kory Thomas earned her MPH degree in Health Behavior and Health Education at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. Prior to the UMSPH, she received a BS in Health and Exercise Science, concentrating in Health Promotion, from Colorado State University. Currently, she is responsible for the coordination of Colorado Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) activities in the Center for Public Health Practice at the Colorado School of Public Health. She also provides evaluation technical assistance to health promotion programs with the Community Epidemiology and Program Evaluation Group at the CSPH.
Prior to joining the Colorado School of Public Health, Ms. Thomas worked in various settings including corporate wellness, geriatric rehabilitation, health promotion programming and international development. Her interests include evaluation capacity building, public health workforce development and encouraging collaboration amongst health equity advocates. She believes in the collective strength and influence of diverse entities in identifying challenges, opportunities, and lessons learned to encourage efforts to end inequalities.
