Take a Course

The Center services will be offered to individuals responsible for providing essential public health services regardless of the organization in which they work. This may include state and local public health agencies, as well as community-based organizations.

What Participants Receive

Upon successful completion of each Center for Public Health Practice training, participants will receive a certificate of completion.  Participants in on-site courses must attend all course sessions and successfully complete all assignments to receive a certificate.   Participants in online courses must demonstrate participation in the course, and successfully complete all assignments to receive a certificate.

The Center recognizes that public health incorporates professionals from a number of disciplines. Trainings will focus on broad based public health competencies that will appeal to this professional diversity.

In addition, our upcoming learning management system will allow participants to track their continuing education transcript.

How We Know We Made a Difference

The training opportunities will be evaluated to monitor participant skill development and training quality. In addition, the Center for Public Health Practice will provide follow-up to ensure training success and application.

A team of qualified, credible trainers will develop each of the courses. Trainers may include faculty, national and local experts and applied community program representatives. For more information, please contact an educational outreach coordinator:
